Instagram is now testing new profile cards with its select creators, which provide a great way to highlight your Instagram profile and showcase your content.
Instagram’s updated profile cards are digitally flippable, as demonstrated by this example shared by Goldie Chan. On one side, they provide a QR code for instant connection, and on the other side, they provide a profile overview and summary.
Your photo and bio are included in the profile overview, along with your business link and profile category. Apart from this, if your views are decreasing, you can also choose the Instagram Views Buy India service. In which you start getting more Instagram views.
This is a quick synopsis of your Instagram presence, and by simply scanning the link and following the instructions, you can add more users to the Instagram app.
However, the question is how many people will actually use them. Although Instagram has had QR codes for profiles since 2018, not many users know about them or use them.
It probably doesn’t help that Instagram has moved them around in the app and changed the format a few times. However, different versions of its QR codes have been around for a while.
But now it seems Instagram is pushing for QR codes once again, with the platform also adding QR codes for broadcast channels in June.
If QR codes become popular this time around, will more people scan digital links to access your profile on the app?
While it looks cool, it’s going to stay the same. Still, it gives you an additional way to draw attention to your Instagram presence and gives more people a way to access your content.
Just like it did with its Threads profile cards to mark its first birthday, Instagram may also consider printing hard copies of these cards for creators to use.
Many would find this to be fantastic, but it would undoubtedly be too costly.
For now, though, you’ll have to settle for the Instagram profile card.
By selecting the “Share Profile” option on your profile, you can view your Instagram QR code. The new profile card is currently being tested for a limited time.
